- The hotel is committed to the Blue Flag Programme in maintaining clean beaches along the Bay of Hisarönü, on which the site of Golden Key is situated.
- Implementation of an ecological fosceptic sewer system.
- Implementation of economical use of water in WC-douches and taps.
- Policy on use of towels.
- Re-use of hotel water in the gardens on the site.
- The small-scale buildings are situated in an existing orange orchard. Oranges, lemons and tangerines are grown ecologically. The produce of the ecological vegetable and fruit garden is served at breakfast and dinner at the accommodation. 
- Golden Key - Hisarönü also supports the local community by employing mostly local people and using local products. 
- The hotel uses solar energy.
