In accordance with the architectural characteristics of the region, Turkish Ebru and Dutch Jeroen are restoring their century-old oil factory in Mesudiye (Datca) into a luxurious villa. The building will keep its authentic Datca shape: thick stone walls with small windows and doors, and a well isolated roof to keep the warmth outside during the long summers.
Details like the typical Datca chimneys will also be restored into its original shape. Their four openings at the top are an adaptation to the constantly changing direction of wind in this part of Turkey.
Original remnants inside the factory, like the olive oil press and fireplaces will be an integral part of Villa Olivio. The interior will contain two large rooms and a kitchen. Other features will be a comfortable patio, a garden with age-old olive trees and a swimming pool with a sea view.
The project will be ready by May 2009. For bookings contact Villa Olivio.
