Architecture and environment
Commitment to the Blue Flag programmes for many beaches and marinas on the Marmaris-Datca Peninsula.
- Implementation by building an accommodation in the style of a cultural heritage monument of architecture. During the construction, as far as possible local products and local craftsmen were used and involved. A large part of the craftwork was done with the original tools. Much time was spent on researching the characteristics of the typical Smyrna mansions of the 1880s -1890s period. Also, a lot of time went into finding original parts and decorative motifs as well as making the necessary replicas.
- Implementation by creating a completely ecological garden next to the villa, from where agricultural products for meals can be obtained.
- The villa uses local people for maintenance of the gardens and buildings, and security, using the facilities offered in the villages and along the nearby beaches, thus generating income for the local community.
